Lou Reed was an American musician, singer, and songwriter.
He was the guitarist, vocalist, and principal songwriter of Velvet Underground, and his solo career spanned five decades.
The group VU also caught the attention of artist Andy Warhol, who had ancestors of Slovakian origin.
The most remarkable song, hymn by Reed is Perfect Day. Its fame was given a boost in the 1990s when it was featured in the 1996 film Trainspotting. (The lyrics is not difficult, alike playing it on a guitar. You can easily download the tabs.)
It s got a strong message within and a fine slow melody. Get the Central park feeling.
